Prix Internationales - Awards

L’AIPCN décerne une paire de prix/awards aux membres de l'association : le De Paepe / Willems award et le Jack Nichol award, le premier est accordé aux jeunes professionnels (YP), le deuxième award est accordé pour un projet excellent des ports de plaisances.

Le De Paepe - Willems Award

Le but de Paepe- le Willems award est d’encourager les jeunes professionnels à écrire des articles techniques sur les disciplines de l’AIPCN. La Belgique a déjà fourni à ce jour trois lauréats :

• Philippe Rigo( ULiège) en 1989 avec " Le logiciel de calcul et de conception des structures hydrauliques fortement raidies (écluses, barrages mobiles,..): Calcul et conception des structures hydrauliques",
• Peter Troch (UGent) en 2001 avec : "Experimental study and numerical modelling of pore pressure attenuation inside a rubble mound breakwater". et
• Thomas Gerbay en 2010 (Research Fellow F.R.S.‐FNRS) University of Liege, Belgium avec:
  Optimizationand analysis of lock gates in the framework of the “Seine‐Scheldt‐East” waterway upgrading
• Boudewijn Decrop in 2017 (IMDC) Towards Better Prediction of Dredging Plumes: Numericaland Physical Modelling of Near-field Dispersion

Vous consulter sur le site du secrétariat général la liste de tous lauréats depuis 1985.
Le Paepe Willems award (DPWA) consiste en un montant € de 4000 plus cinq ans de « membership» gratuit de l’AIPCN. En outre l'article gagnant sera publié dans le magazine « On Course » et le gagnant obtient une invitation pour présenter son article au l'Annual General Assembly (AGA). Les voyages et partiellement les frais de séjour (3 nuits) sont pris en charge par l’AIPCN. On doit déposer l'article (8.000 mots maximaux), écrit en anglais, avant le septembre 30.

Le Paper classé le second reçois un montant de € 2000, le troisième le montant de € 1000.

1. Deadline for sending in abstracts (summary of the article): Août 31, .
2. Deadline for sending in the full paper: Septembre 30,

The Award will be granted to those candidates who submit the most outstanding paper selected by the jury in the calendar year preceding the General Assembly (GA) at which the Award is granted.  

In case of co-authorship, the Award will be granted to the principal author of the paper.

Le Jack Nichol Award

Jack Nichol a été un membre de l’AIPCN de premier plan, mais surtout un dessinateur fameux des ports de plaisance.
Son nom a été utilisé pour cet award que le Recreational Navigation Commission propose annuellement pour un projet excellent d’un port de plaisance.

L'award consiste en une plaquette montrée ici a côté, mais constituant naturellement un prestige plus important pour le concepteur ou le propriétaire du port de plaisance. Les règles pour le Jack Nichol Award sont à trouver sur le site PIIANC internationale. Les "abstracts" doivent se faire avant 31er août au sein de l'adresse mentionnée.

The PIANC Marina Excellence Design ‘Jack Nichol’ Award was created in 2002 in memory of the late John M. ‘Jack’ Nichol, an Honorary Member of PIANC and well-known marina designer. The purpose of the Award is to recognise excellence in the design of modern recreational boating facilities around the world. Anyone may submit an application to be considered for the Marina Excellence Design Jack Nichol Award. The Award consists of a bronze plaque suitable for display. The Award is administered by the Recreational Navigation Commission.
